Windows 10 or 11
Install RACE15 Studio on a Windows 10/11 PC. Preview activation is required in Studio; its recorded demo needs no vehicle or adapter.
Before you connect
Studio currently supports reviewed EDC15VM+ and EDC15P+ software. Check your exact ECU and connection before moving from the recorded Preview demo to live work.
Supported families
The current family packages cover the reviewed ECU part numbers below. A family name alone does not confirm every software variant.
| ECU family | Engine type and power | Reviewed ECU part number |
|---|---|---|
| EDC15VM+ | 1.9 TDI VP90 / 110 hp | 038906012 |
| EDC15P+ | 1.9 TDI PD100 / 115 / 130 / 150 / 160 hp | 038906019 |
Check the exact ECU and software in Studio's compatibility catalog and in-app Help before installation. ECU family support may expand over time.
System and connection
The recorded Preview demo runs on a Windows PC. Vehicle work adds a supported interface, the correct connection and a matching licence.

Live data and CAN programming require a supported J2534 adapter and the correct CAN connection for the ECU.
The supported ECU needs the supplied RACE15 bootloader patch for the live CAN workflow, plus a Full licence with its ECU family package.
First installation
CAN Flash is for an ECU with RACE15 already installed. The initial image uses a compatible full-image method, such as Studio's supported K-line or boot-mode route. Preserve a backup of any tune you need to keep, and follow the in-app guidance for your exact ECU.
